Shelly & Kevin – Engaged!! – Nashville and Franklin, TN Wedding Photographer

This is my next to last engagement session post for the year!  I have had so many wonderful couples this fall, and I just love working with adults as a change of pace to the babies I often work with throughout the week!!  Shelly and I met earlier this year when she was a bridesmaid in Amy & Judd’s wedding!  Though we didn’t talk much, she was beaming in every picture, and just seemed like she exuded happiness!!  I was so happy when she emailed me shortly after their wedding to tell me she now had a ring of her own!!  We scheduled she and Kevin’s engagement session for late November when you never really know how the weather will be.  This year, the rain here in Middle TN has not been good for scheduling!  The day this session was scheduled for had 100% chance of rain and at my house, it poured all day!  Shelly & I spoke a few hours before we were due to meet, and her grandmother (whose house we were meeting at) assured her that it wasn’t raining there.  Since we both had quite a distance to travel, I was concerned we’d get there and it would be a wash out.  It, literally, rained on me the entire way to our session, stopping about 1 mile from her grandmother’s house.  It was cloudy and overcast, but that didn’t stop us a bit!  We got our shots, and as I pulled out of the driveway, it started raining on me again.  Apparently, it was meant for us to get our session done sans rain, and I’m so thankful that was the case!

As I mentioned, we met at Shelly’s grandparent’s house.  We went across the street to their old barn, where Shelly’s parents actually got married!  It was such a charming little spot and the perfect fall setting!  After hanging around there for a bit, we drove up the street to the cutest little church with the most amazing view.  At this time of the year, the majority of the fall foilage has already fallen, but I can only imagine how much more gorgeous the view would’ve been a few weeks ago.  I am so happy for you guys and had fun hanging out with you!!  Congratulations!!
