On my way out to Amanda’s parents’ home the day of Amanda and Ryan’s wedding, I was immediately taken by all of the gorgeous scenery.  It’s amazing to live in a part of the country where winding country roads, untouched hillsides, and farmland area always just a couple of miles away.  During my every day activities, I often go about my business not thinking about how extraordinary it all is, but wedding days are different.  My mind is most often reeling on the way to weddings, I ride in silence taking in the scenery, thinking about those small details I don’t want to miss, and praying to be present and that I can do a good job!  This day was no different, and I sometimes long to live out on one of those gorgeous day maybe!

Amanda and Ryan are from totally different parts of the country.  They met at a wedding of a mutual friend, and have made a long distance relationship work ever since!  This wedding day was the culmination of so many things, but to be on the road to finally being in the same place would definitely be at the top!   Even though the South is super sad to be losing Amanda, I have no doubt she’ll represent us well up in Minnesota!  This wedding day was a wonderful celebration of both of them, and to have so many friends and family travel from other states to be present is a true testament to the type of people that they are!

Hair and make-up were done at her parents’ home before heading to the church!

Amanda gave the most heartfelt speech during the reception.  It brought tears to many eyes, including mine!  The part that got me the most was definitely when she talked to her mama!

Thank you guys for allowing me to capture this wonderful day!  I always say this, but it’s always true!  It’s such an honor to do so!

It’s been awhile since I blogged a family session, but there’s no better one to blog!  I first met this family when their daughter Rylee was a newborn, and I’ve been lucky enough to capture lots of fun times since then!  Reid is the happiest little guy, and Rylee can carry on conversations with me like an adult, which always makes me laugh!  We had a beautiful morning for their session!  Here are just a few of my favorites!  Happy week friends!

For the past few months, my calendar has been full of Nashville engagement sessions!  It’s easy to see why so many couples want to have photos all around our fabulous city!  There are so many great buildings, fun textures, and of course that bridge everyone loves :)!  Brittany & Zach are getting married out of state, but since they met here, got engaged here, and live here, they chose to document this exciting time in downtown Nashville.  We started the session in Nashville Public Square, where Zach proposed to Brittany over the holidays…I loved that they thought to incorporate the spot into these photos as well!  After walking a few miles all over downtown, we ended up in the same spot just before dark.  We had a fabulous spring day, and I’m thrilled with how their photos turned out!  Take a look at some of my favorites!

Hi friends!!!!  I hope that everyone is surviving winter and making the best of dreary days!!  While I’m still shooting lots of babies, engagements, etc., I’m really enjoying this slower time of the year!  I’ve been spending some much needed time catching up on things at the gym, on Netflix and with my friends and family!!  I always love this season because it allows more room to breathe, be spontaneous, focus on the upcoming year, and hello….BLOG!!  I will be sharing several things from last year over the next few weeks, so be sure to check back!!

Meghan and Lee are up first!  Their Nashville wedding is in just over 2 months, and is sure to be amazing!!  They surely brought the heat to their downtown Nashville engagement season, and I just know Meghan will be a stunning bride!  Here are just a few of my favorites from their session.

Ashley & Chris’ lovely Mitchell House wedding took place in early June.  I met both Ashley & Chris for the first time on their wedding day, but they couldn’t have been any easier to get along with or photograph!   Ashley’s style was so classic, simple and absolute perfection.  They chose not to see each other prior to the ceremony, and Chris’ sweet reaction when he saw his bride for the first time was one of my favorite parts of their day!  I was so honored to be the one to capture this amazing celebration for them!
