More Beach Fun – Lebanon, TN Photographer

This is the last of my beach posts – promise!  I would normally post on my other blog, but I love the ease of loading photos here, as opposed to there.  That blog is likely going to become a thing of the past very soon.  Anyway, I just had too many pictures I loved from our few days in Orange Beach, AL not to share more.

Grant thoroughly enjoyed the beach this year.  He liked it last year too, but he was still a little wary of the water.  He had a blast this year, and was even riding in waves.  Thankfully, we didn’t see any oil, and getting in was not an issue.  He let Pook & Claire bury him in the sand too.  Even thinking of this makes my skin crawl – I HATE the sand!

In true Claire fashion, she claimed the beach as her own :-)!  She, unlike her brother, was not at all fond of the ocean.  She was terrified it was going to wash her and all of her things away.  Every time a wave would come, she’d start picking up shoes, toys, or whatever was nearby trying to carry them away from the water.  She was so funny.

She, too, hates the sand.  Funny though, because she’s absolutely covered in it in every photo.  To see photos of how she looked last year at the beach, click on the link in my bio and check out my header.  She has changed SO much!!

I love these 4 photos of her (minus the butt cut – ha!).  They are so real & so her personality!

Pook & Grant really enjoyed lounging in the water, until a big wave came & knocked them over.  My camera decided to fog up right as it happened.

Of course, we had to make a trip to The Track.  I could really do without this outing, but Grant begs for it as soon as we drive into town.  Claire watched the boys going around and ’round pretty pitifully.

A few more from our attempt at some brother/sister shots.

And whattayouknow, I made it into a few photos myself?!

Please indulge my obsession one more time :-)!

I had a temporary moment of insanity in which I handed Grant my camera on the beach and told him which button to push.  Sure it’s out of focus, but I’m in it, and he was so proud of himself for taking this!

We went to The Hangout for the first time this year.  I’m not sure why we’ve never gone before, but the kiddos LOVED it.  I didn’t see much of Grant the entire time we were there.  He was dying to run into the bubbles, but I made him wait until after he ate his food.  He was absolutely soaked, and rode home in underwear.  Next time, we know to take towels and extra clothes.  We all had so much fun.  Claire was a dancing machine to the live band.  I loved the lights hanging through sand pails!!

The place we love to stay has a little splash pad out by the pool.  It’s always a hit with the kids, and this year was no exception.  Claire spent more time here than in any other water there.  She loved sitting on the fountains!  Grant was more interested in the switches that turned them on and off, but ran through every now and again!

I, seriously, long to be back here right now.  The kids were great, and it was such a nice, relaxing little getaway!
