Destination Wedding Photographer – St. Louis Wedding, Sarah & Nolan

Sarah & Nolan kicked off the 2018 wedding season in a BIG way!!  I photographed their engagement session last year on the WKU campus, and it’s one of my all time favorites!  I was ecstatic when Sarah emailed me about traveling to St. Louis to shoot their wedding!  My only concern was that it would be freezing or snowy…this southern girl doesn’t handle the cold all that well, but we lucked out and had a mild-ish March day!  It was so fun to shoot at new venues in a new city!

The day began at The Four Seasons, where Sarah & her bridesmaids got ready for the big day!  Everyone was cool, calm and collected, until Sarah revealed herself in her gorgeous gown from Town & Country Bridal.  There may have been a few tears shed then!  Once everyone was ready to go, we all headed over to the Washington University Campus, where the wedding would take place in Graham Chapel.  This was my first time on the campus, and I was not disappointed!!  The campus and the chapel are both incredibly beautiful!   Sarah and Nolan chose not to see one another prior to the ceremony, but we did squeeze in a few family photos before.  Once the they were announced as bride and groom, we took advantage of some of the architecture on campus for portraits. Sarah looked like a real life princess with her perfect prince.  It was a wedding photographer’s dream!

The reception took place at The Coronado.  This venue would’ve been impressive without all of the wedding decor, but with it…wow!  The groom’s cake was a crowd and personal favorite.  Sarah & Nolan’s first dance took the cake though!!  Their nod to Beauty and the Beast was so sweet, and resulted in a standing ovation from their guests.  All of the toasts were heartfelt and made me love this couple even more than I already did!  Everyone danced the night away until it was time for the bride and groom to make their exit.  It was such a wonderful night!!  I have more images from this wedding than any other wedding I’ve ever shot and struggled to narrow this post down!!

Special thanks to Ashley Fisher for shooting with me and for giving me so many tips that only a local could provide!!  All of the vendors worked together to make this day run smoothly, and I loved meeting every single one!!  Thank you for your kindness, guidance & hospitality!
