Avery’s 1st Birthday Party! – Murfreesboro, TN Photographer

I cannot believe that sweet Avery is already a year old!  She is one of the first babies I ever photographed almost 9 months ago.  Today she celebrated in style, and her mom had me out to photograph all of the festivities.  This is such a GREAT idea!  I’m sure she enjoyed not having to worry about picking up her camera!  I should totally have someone at my kiddos’ next parties so I can just enjoy the party!  I’ve been credited with turning her mom into an etsy addict, and lots of the party decorations & outfits were a result of that :-).

A few details from the day:

When Avery woke up from her nap, her whole house was full of guests. I couldn’t believe how well she reacted to everyone.  My 2 1/2 year old still freaks out when that happens, but not this little girl.  She was full of smiles and clapping!  Whenever someone would ask her how old she is, she would hold up her little finger – so sweet!!

Her sweet cousin is 6 months younger than her, and they live pretty far away.  They were so cute together, and I have a feeling that regardless of distance, these girls will be the best of friends!

Avery dove into her gifts and loved them.  She’d break every now and then for a little clapping.

This personalized book was the cutest thing – notice her photo on the back of the book.  It was throughout the story with her favorite pal, Dora.  Such a wonderful little gift – must remember this one!!

All done with gifts and saying thanks!

After a quick outfit change, they gave her some cake.  She,however, was not at all interested in it.  While those cake smash pics are adorable, this made for a lot easier clean up :-)!

She was so unsure of the icing getting on her, and kept looking back and forth at her hands.  Then it got on her foot, and that was pretty much the end of the cake.

Eatin’ up some grandparent love!

Posing for photos!

just a minute with mom and dad

Avery is the daintiest little thing, and does the cutest stuff.  She isn’t walking yet, but could get wherever she wanted to.  She would sit on her bottom and use her feet to turn in circles.  She also did a little foot clap when she got excited.  I could eat her up!

The birthday girl had a wonderful party, and was such a trooper!  It’s hard being center stage, but she ate it up.  I think she was just about ready to crash again when I headed out!

Watch for more of this adorable face on my blog in a few weeks when we do her official 1 year old portraits!

Thanks for inviting me you guys!  I really enjoyed it, and hope you love the photos.  Happy, Happy Birthday Avery!!!
