Praying for Sara – Nashville, TN Family Photographer

This is by far the most difficult blog post I’ve ever written.  I’ve debated what to write over and over, but have decided to just write exactly what’s on my heart.   I want to ask a favor of you my blog readers.  I would love it if you would pray for this family, and in particular this beautiful woman.  I was honored to be asked by a mutual friend to photograph this sweet family over the weekend.  They have been through some extremely difficult times recently and have a long road ahead.  I have cried for them, prayed for them, and pleaded on their behalf, and will continue to do so over and over.  I can’t even begin to tell Sara’s story as well as she does on her caringbridge site, so I encourage you to click over to read about her journey.  You will be so blessed by her words.  She’s an amazing woman and her family is pretty special too!  I had never met Sara or her family until this weekend, but immediately felt at home with them.  Her boys are just adorable, and I loved photographing some of the special things they do together.

They read a book together, and the boys were so into it.  Such sweet moments.

Sara also mentioned that one of their rituals involves a little bit of tickle time in their bedroom.  The boys weren’t too sure about doing that during the day for fear they might have to go to bed afterward, but it didn’t take too long for them to become fully engaged.  I absolutely love the expressions of pure joy on their faces.

 The wrestling got pretty intense and mom & dad stepped back as the boys went one on one!

Sara, Brian, Camden & Scott – It was such a blessing to spend time with you guys this weekend.  I hope these happy moments can bring you joy when you are in the midst of difficult times.  I will continue to pray for strength, comfort and peace for your family, and for complete healing.  You are truly an inspiration to me, and I’m sure to the others around you.  Thank you for letting me into your lives, even if for a short time!

“As for me, I will always have hope;
    I will praise you more and more.”
  Psalm 71:14

Because there was absolutely no way to post all of the photos here that I wanted to, I put together a slideshow of our brief time together.  Sara’s parents were also there and are at the end of the slideshow.
